Anya pairs two natural textures in one slim cone. At the top, a crown of thick, hand-coiled fiber is wrapped round after round into a rich, earthy band of deeper brown. Below it, straight pale rattan reeds fan out into an open, flared cone, held in place by two fine rattan rings, with the reed ends left softly exposed at the hem. The contrast between the dense, rustic crown and the light, airy body gives Anya a relaxed, hand-crafted character.
When lit, the open reeds cast fine, radiating lines of light and shadow. Its compact 12 in size works well over a kitchen island or breakfast bar, beside a bed, along a hallway, or in a row of two or three. Every Anya is made by hand, so subtle variations in the coil and the reed spacing make each one unique.
