Make warm bread feel like part of the table setting with the Oval Scroll Unlidded Bread Warmer. Its open form keeps rolls, biscuits, tortillas, and sliced bread within easy reach, while the removable terracotta plate beneath them helps extend warmth through the meal. The substantial thick plate is designed to absorb heat in the oven and release it gradually beneath bread placed in a towel-lined basket, offering a straightforward way to serve bread warm without electricity or a separate countertop appliance. The open design also lets the detailed terracotta surface remain visible whenever the basket is not filled.
Flowing leaf scrolls and curling botanical forms cover the plate in a balanced pattern of arcs, fronds, and layered curves. The repeated movement gives the design a sense of continuity and growth, while the symmetrical arrangement keeps it polished rather than overly ornate. Inspired by classic decorative scrollwork, the motif brings the character of carved architectural or furniture detail to an everyday serving piece, making the plate as interesting between meals as it is useful during them.
The basket is handwoven from real abaca, specifically bacbac fiber, over a supportive metal frame by fair-trade artisans in rural communities in the Philippines. Its rich brown tone emphasizes the movement of the weave and complements the warm earth color of the terracotta. Each piece carries small natural variations in color, weave, and shape because no two hands weave exactly alike. These differences are part of what makes the basket feel personal and real. From casual dinners to full holiday spreads, this bread warmer offers a strong artisan story, practical heat retention, and a scroll design that feels timeless without becoming formal.
