Stitch The White Sword Lily with this Merejka counted cross-stitch kit creamy white gladiolus blooms rise above a mix of purple bellflowers and delicate white Queen Anne's lace, set against a soft blue-grey backdrop. Worked on Zweigart 16-count blue-grey Aida fabric with premium DMC threads in 29 rich shades, this botanical design is rich in color, texture, and graceful detail.
Why this kit: 29 DMC shades render the gladiolus petals in soft cream-to-gold gradients against the cooler purple bellflowers; two chart versions with and without backstitches let you choose the level of fine detail in the petals and lace; the tinted blue-grey Aida base gives the finished piece a soft, elegant tone rather than a stark white background.
Kit includes: Zweigart canvas, DMC threads, John James needles, and a colour chart.
Counted cross-stitch is worked by following the colour chart and placing each stitch on the gridded Aida fabric with the indicated DMC thread shade. The backstitch version sharpens the petal edges and delicate lace stems, while the no-backstitch version keeps the design's soft, watercolor-like quality. Work section by section until the design is complete, then frame as an elegant piece of botanical wall art.
Finished size: 39x27 cm (15.35x10.63 in), creating a generous artwork that looks stunning when framed. An elegant project for home display and a thoughtful handmade gift for flower lovers and needlework enthusiasts.
