They do seem very durable and almost look like a tarp on the back. Since they have that plasticy feeling I didn't iron them because I think they would melt but I don't know how to get the wrinkles out. I am hoping they just straighten out after they are hung up for a while. They definitely block out the sun so they do their job there. Assembly of these is very straightforward, although one thing I wish these had is openings for the rings or back tabs so they could be installed without having to utilize the rings and removing a curtain rod to place the curtains in and fully install.
