Beautiful! The deep plates are not stacked into each other like other plates; they stack on top of each other, which makes the pile higher. Be aware of that since this takes up more space. But the Stone Lain Madeline Bone China set isn't just practical, it is also quite beautiful. It has a nice and bright white color, and the finish is very shiny and smooth. The shape and edges of the dishes give it an appealing look that is modern yet timeless. I think it looks even nicer in person than pictures. This set seems to be great quality too. It is lightweight but feels sturdy. When I held a plate up to a fairly dim light, I could easily see the shadow of my fingers through it. So, it appears to pass the test for authentic bone china and is pretty transluscent. I noticed a tiny bubble in the glaze on one of the plates and a bit of roughness on the bottom of another plate, but otherwise this set is nearly flawless. These are things that the majority of people would never notice, and they are not in very noticeable areas. I'm really happy that this set is dishwasher and microwave safe, so they are perfect for for everyday as well as special occasions. One minor issue to note is that these dishes don't stack as neatly because of their straight shape, but I don't think that would be a dealbreaker unless you are planning to display them on open shelves..
