Shell & Slate Backsplash Tile

Slate is a durable material for both interior and exterior use. We quarry this material from the mountains and riverbeds of Northern China. In order to maintain the popular outside-in look, our tiles and mosaics come in either a natural cleft or tumbled finish. This material requires very little maintenance and is extremely resilient.

Add character and organic warmth to your design with this small scale mosaic. Each small tile showcases the natural beauty of travertine--soft earth tones, subtle texture and charming imperfections created by nature. The tumbled finish gives the surface a weathered, antique look, perfect for creating inviting spaces with a touch of Old World elegance. It blends effortlessly with both rustic and modern designs and is ideal for backsplashes, shower floors, accent walls or decorative borders. It's durable, versatile and full of natural charm.

DIY peel-and-stick 3D wall decor genuine mother-of-pearl shell mosaic tile for kitchen backsplash, bathroom accent wall super white.

I ordered samples ivory and white. I loved the ivory for its subtle tones of brown, pink, beige, and gray. The tile came boxed snug. No broken or chipped tiles. It is shiny and beautiful. There are 15 mini squares mounted on mesh which is mounted to a padded peel and stick layer. It is EXTREMELY sticky. Even 5 seconds of contact and that tile is NOT coming off! The tiles were very well cut and mounted strongly to the backing. I had to yank one off the wall, sure that I would ruin it, but only one little square was damaged and a dot of superglue made it good as new. To cut them I used tinsnips, which because they are natural shell and very thin and brittle, resulted in splitting and cracking. I hid those edges under caulk. Overall, I am really happy with my selection of this tile. It’s beautiful and easy for a novice.. Jade. Youngstown, OH. Thu Mar 18 2021

In the Fall we’ll be re-doing our guest bathroom, down to the studs and I’ve started to gather the pieces I want to add back in. I fell in love with this tile! Because of the cost I couldn’t do the whole shower so I ordered 1 box to do the niche. It’s beautiful tile, very delicate! The first sheet I lifted out to inspect lost a couple of pieces off the mesh backing. I don’t think it was something that happened during shipping.
