The yalong random sized natural stone mosaic tile in red is a mesh-backed tile composed of natural stone pieces in assorted shapes and sizes. Each 12" x 12" sheet features stone pieces that have been tumble polished to create a smooth surface while maintaining natural edges. The stones are arranged in an organic, random layout and securely mounted on a mesh backing to assist with consistent spacing and alignment. The red-toned stones offer mild variation in shade, classified under v2 shade variation, meaning subtle differences in color will be present throughout the sheet. This feature enhances the natural appearance of the installation while still maintaining overall visual consistency. The matte finish further softens the look of the stone, helping to diffuse light and reduce glare.
Application & Technical Specifications:
This mosaic tile is designed for interior use and covers 1 square foot per sheet. The mesh backing allows for interlocking installation and supports dry cutting for layout flexibility along borders, corners, or around fixtures. The product is rated as impervious, absorbing 0.5% or less water, making it suitable for moisture-prone indoor environments such as shower walls, bathroom floors, kitchen backsplashes, and fireplace surrounds. It is submersible and waterproof, adding functionality in areas exposed to frequent water contact. However, it is not recommended for outdoor installation. The recommended grout joint size is 1/8 inch. This tile requires sealing after installation to help protect the stone from moisture, staining, and wear.
