Every screw hole lined up perfectly. The directions are a little tricky to follow, but if you have any experience at all putting things together, you’ll be able to figure it out. This is great! The ladder is sanded very smooth and soft, no additional sanding required. Ladder is difficult to assemble, as in awkward. You will need someone to hold things and fiddle with it with you. The rail was super easy, and the metal pieces are pretty substantial. My only complaint is that one of the screw heads sheared off, so now I don't have support there, but the hassle of trying to tap it out has prevented me from dealing with it unless I have to. When anchored to the tree securely, they make for a nice sturdy secure feeling climb. I have decided that I like dual side-by-side steps as opposed to the staggered steps, but I'm getting use to using the staggered steps. I do have a suggestion for companies that make these type of climbing sticks. I wish they would make two of the anchor straps longer to accommodate strapping them to a larger tree.
