Installed today to replace another brand that worked well, but we wanted the LG dual inverter that was so highly praised by Consumer Reports. We opted for the version without the Smart features as we simply don’t need them. The new unit is so wonderful as to be almost be unbelievable. I bought this air conditioner 3 weeks ago and I love that I can control it anywhere. I have only used it a short time that there is a savings to my electric bill. Our BLACK+DECKER Window Air Conditioner with Inverter Technology is built for high efficiency cooling and energy efficiency in mind. Inverter technology uses a variable speed compressor (rather than a fixed speed) to adjust according to the room temperature. This provides a more consistent temperature and helps save energy while efficiently controlling motor speed. The variable speed compressor automatically adjusts its rotational speed according to the selected temperature. It does not cycle on and off like traditional air conditioners. This also helps to reduce noise. Our ac unit for bedroom comes with a Full Function remote control with LED screen display and Follow Me Function. The follow me feature allows you to use the remote as the thermostat to get temperature readings from where you are instead of the AC unit. This allows more precise temperature readings and improved control for cooling your environment. The control panel on the air conditioner window unit has electronic control with digital display. Our window AC allows adjustable thermostat controls from 60°F (16°C) to 86°F (30°C) with both Fahrenheit and Celsius readouts. Choose between Auto, Cool, Dry and Fan mode operations. Fan mode comes with 4 settings including auto, Low, Med and High fan speeds. Auto mode automatically selects cooling or fan only operation depending on the selected temperature and room temperature. Our inverter air conditioner also features a FLASHCOOL function that provides maximum cooling at high speeds to reach set temperature in the shortest time possible. Timer function helps turn the AC unit on or off automatically from 30 minutes to 24 hours. ECO mode and Sleep function for energy efficient operation. Designed for wooden or vinyl-clad windows from 23” to 36" wide. Washable, removable filter included. Our window ac unit uses R-32 refrigerant. LCDI protected 3-prong 78” power cord. I plugged it in and it actuall blew air, unlike the first one. So, so far, so good. Thanks to Rashad @ Customer Service for being so decisive in getting the replacement to me so quickly! Cheers..
