These are 6"x2" Bejmat tiles (150x50x13mm). Bejmat are a particular style of rectangular Glazed Zellige tiles, with slabs cut before firing. These thinner bejmat help reduce the weight for wall applications. Produced by hand in Fez, Morocco, these Moroccan mosaic floor tiles are known the world over. These are gorgeous! They took forever to arrive, but they came all in one piece. There were no broken tiles, no cracks, chips, or scratches. I’m very pleased and quite impressed, considering they came in packing peanuts (I hate those things, but it worked). The colors are beautiful. I love the white base that incorporates several shades of grey. The photos are one of each color and from the same box. I hope it shows the various colors and shades of each. They are simply stunning and elegant and I love the matte finish. I was afraid I wouldn’t, but I love them! I’m hoping to use these for my bathroom remodel. Does have a very high end look to it. Not quite what was expected from photo. If they laid the glass on top of the texture, this would have been one of the most amazing glass tiles ever! Still makes for a great statement piece, backsplash or feature wall. I wish they used an Installed application photo it might have helped to see what the tile actually was. Very rough textured surface that might not be ideal to clean often in a shower, hard to say. But such a good deal, we decided to use as a feature wall above a vanity instead. Has a high end luxury look just maintaining and cleaning was unsure for shower application. Make sure to use new diamond blade, my tile saw with used diamond (glass) blade had a few rough spots on my first wet cut. I absolutely love the rich color of these tiles and the sea glass like finish. The blue is not quite as bright in person, but it’s still pretty. They came well packed and separated for shipping but there still appears to be some scratches on them. I think that might just be a an unfortunate thing that goes along with this kind of finish. It does not hide any imperfections like a glossy finish does. I think it would also show soap scum and residue, especially in the darker Colors.
