This product is a replacement for the 6kw unit that i had for 10 years. I actually don't have a use for the lights and speakers as my shower is already done. Not very happy with the programmability of the unit. You can only run the unit in 30 min increments. So if it takes 15 minutes to get up to temp you have to run it for another 30 + 15 remaining from the preheat. Maybe I'll find a way to not have to add 30 min. Other than that it was relatively easy to swap out.. Chris. Sat Dec 27 2025

Steam generation is within minutes when turned on. Operating almost daily without problems. My unit does hammer the water line as it cycles to fill itself to generate steam. I would recommend.. Charles. Kaysville, UT. Tue Aug 29 2017

Steamspa / SWCorp does not service their products. When something goes wrong you have to open up the unit and troubleshoot yourself or pay a contractor to do it. Mine worked for about six months then stopped producing steam. Warranty covers almost nothing. It doesn't cover "parts", so I'm not sure what it covers. Customer service offered to sell me a new one at a 20% discount or buy new heating elements and drain valve since the tank is not draining. None of this is covered under warranty. I'd go with anther brand who offers service after you buy the unit. Like Mr. Steam. In fact, I'm going to buy one to replace malfunctioning Steamspa.. Anonymous. Tue Mar 11 2025

We have placed a steam shower on the opposite wall of the shower as the two pictures indicate. We have begun building an additional wall to hide the steam spa generator, but will leave a door for easy access. We have used the spa several times because we wanted to ensure it would work properly before hiding it behind the wall. We are very satisfiedand trilled with this purchase!. Sedrick. TX. This unit is plenty large for our shower. We'll create a full steam experience in about five minutes. It did require a bit more electrical work, as it definitely pulls some wattage. We also had to buy a steam tray to set the unit on in a separate transaction, but you must have this. The 2 small round silver at the bottom of shower is where the steam comes out. Super easy to add essential oils for relaxing or invigorating experience. Having two control panels, one in the shower and one outside of the shower makes it very easy to get it started and to turn it down or off, while in the shower also.. Tenneil. Caledonia, MI. We got this installed by the professional. It's not so easy for DIY. You need 240v electrical box. It comes with two controllers, one for inside the shower and one outside. It works good so far. I only have for a few days. It doesn't produce as much steam as I would hope, but enough to fill the shower. We have a large shower. It takes 3-5 minutes to fill the shower with steam.. Paxton.
