Purchased 2 boxes (20 pcs) 12x12 copper slate tiles. 2 tiles fell apart on first handling. 5 tiles were warped so badly that the backs rocked 1/2" - 3/4" against a flat surface. 4 had dramatic differences in thickness making them tricky to blend. I used a diamond scarfing disc on my variable speed orbital grinder to adequately flatten the backs of the warped tiles so it'll work out for my backsplash addition. I used the Liv green glossy subway tile in my kitchen backsplash and it turned out really nice. The green isn’t too loud, just a soft natural tone, and the glossy finish gives it that zellige look without being too fancy. Tiles arrived packaged well and in good condition. We haven't installed them yet, but they look like they will be easy to work with - stones are attached well to the backing and the mesh itself is flexible to conform to a plumbing chute we need to work around. The pattern is varied from tile to tile, which should be easy to lay out and have it look good, although the color is more vibrant than I expected, so be prepared for green if you order these - they're green-green, not grey-green.. This field tile no large veins or crystals and it is fine-grained. It is a sturdy example of the rustic, hardy materials that nature produces under the harsh conditions of slate formation.

I used this tile for the floor of my shower and love it! It has a natural slate look so the tile is a little uneven and purposefully not smooth... but it feels great on my feet and actually gives a tiny bit of grip so I don’t feel like I am going to slip in the shower. The pebbles are flat and smooth which is what I was looking for. The white with a hint a grey works for my color scheme since I wanted a neutral without just plain white. I'm researching the treating process and the upkeep before installing in the shower floor since I understand there are some things you need to know before installing a pebble floor.. Lorie. I used this backsplash in two areas. One behind my kitchen sink and then on my countertop as a placemat. I had to cut to get it to fit and doing so was really easy. You could cut around the stone with the mesh backing or cut straight across, using a tile cutter.
