Really great quality. But it’s HEAVY. The weight isn’t listed anywhere in the description, at least not when I purchased it. (I double checked to make sure.) I’m pretty handy, but there’s no way I can install this by myself. I’d also feel a little nervous about my 100 year old fireplace holding all of that weight. It’d probably be fine, but I know I’d be thinking about it. I bought a lighter mantel and installed it no problem. Still trying to figure how how to return this one…. Tv. Sun Sep 13 2026

Looks nice, but not exactly like real wood. Was easy enough to install. It’s heavy! We needed a non- combustible, so this was a good reasonably priced one. and want a real wood mantle, pay close attention to the amount of space needed between mantel and insert.. Anonymous. Wed Oct 14 2026

My mantel turned out wonderfully after staining. Make sure you follow instructions and use specific type of stain to get great consistent color coverage. So I bought this mantle a year ago. I bought the raw wood mantle knowing I wanted to customize the finish to match my furniture. It took me a while to finish it, as I kept putting it off as a project, but I’m extremely happy with the results. I’ve wanted this mantle for many, many years. We’ve been in our home for 20 years and I finally have my mantle. I seen this ‘Pearl Mantle’ at the direct site before and just never went through with ordering it, then I seen it here on Wayfair, and I decided to finally go for it. The design is elegant, it’s super easy to install. It was in 3 pieces, solidly made. It arrived well packaged and I couldn’t be happier with this product. Everything in the picture is from Wayfair… the mantle, the medallion, pet sofa, area rug, pillar caps lights under mantlemedallion. I’m a very happy Wayfair customer. Much gratitude for their service throughout my purchases making each purchase a delightful experience.. Tina. US. Tue Nov 28 2023
