Absolutely awesome!!! Made a complete night and day difference in our basement. It’s on par with commercial dehumidifiers used for cleaning homes after flooding or other potential water problems. It is very quiet, easy to understanduse. It is on the larger side and kind of heavy. But it has two sturdy handles on the top of it that make moving much easier even though it is a large unit as i mentioned. But if you are looking for large area coverage it’s definitely worth the price. It’s listed as good for up to 4500 ft.² but our basement about 7000 ft.² again, its been a complete game changer for our home. Its under valued in my opinion. Suzanne. Attleboro Ma. Mon Jul 27 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I put this in my parent basement, and I could tell the difference in the musty smell of the basement after a week, it didn't smell as musty and moldy anymore. I love that I can pick it up and move it anywhere super easily. But the best thing I think about it, is that I can just wash the filter out and I don't have to continue buying them over and over. So it helps you save money and also it doesn't cost a ton to run. And the power going to it, is a lot, but you can't hear it. I really like this for basements.. Ashlyg10_4095. Fri Apr 18 2025

I bought this a month ago when we moved to our new home specifically for the basement. Since it was newly built, the basement air had about 70% humidity which over time can cause dampness and mildew. In that month, the Waykar has brought down the humidity to the mid 40s. It has had not issues and just keeps humming along. It is convenient that a garden hose can be hooked up to the back of it and the pulled water drain into the sump pump crock.. Mth. Columbus, Ohio. Fri Sep 25 2026

This is a great dehumidifier. The compressor is relatively quiet during operation, as well as the fan. I find that operating it on the medium fan setting is very effective, and a good balance between noise and effectiveness. The humidity detection/setting is effective and accurate. And as noted in the instructions, there is space where an optional charcoal type air filter can be added. This unit comes with an easy to remove built in water tank which is plenty adequate in size, as well as a hose for the continuous draining option for places where a floor drain or similar are available. also included is a hose to be used for pumping out the water, as this unit features a built in pump. The included caster wheels work great, making the unit quite easy to move around. I ordered this unit for some extra dehumidifying in addition to the existing air conditioning in the master bedroom/large bathroom wing of my south Florida home. This unit was put through some tough testing this past week, and it performed perfectly. I can definitely recommend this machine.. Kory. MN. Wed Oct 07 2026
