Not terribly impressed by this purchase. The "bronze burst" colour that I chose should be described as exactly what it is ... "dark brown". Also, the packaging can't be that great because the largest box of tiles I received had a pretty significant dent along an edge that affected every single tile in the box. We looked everywhere for someone to put this up for us. None would tackle it. So my husband and I put it up ourselves. Took a long time as we had to level the ceiling in an old house (about 10 hours) and then trying to get all the tiles up while working over our heads. This is DEFINITELY a two person job. Yes it’s styrofoam, but that makes it super easy to install IF you actually read the directions and use the correct adhesive. You can paint is using standard latex wall paint if you’re careful it’ll look amazing. Very easy to cut very easy to install. I painted mine first then over rolled and caulked the seams after I installed a few. If you get the 3d ones I would get an air sprayer and put 2 coats of paint on then install caulk and paint the seams. As with anything if you want good results read the directions first look up the videos and take your time. We did a ceiling with the foam ceiling tiles but needed something to go around our stove pipe. I wouldn’t want to do a whole ceiling with these but they worked for what we needed. Planning on painting with white high heat paint so they blend with the rest. Haven’t grouted the foam ones yet so don’t judge lol! These glue up tiles were the perfect solution for my attached one car garage that had a really bad unpainted drywall ceiling for the past 45 years. Snapping a few chalk lines made installation quick and easy. Because the ceiling was so uneven in spots a few of my lines got wonky but I was able to compensate by slightly adjusting a few tiles as I go.
