The item was described as having thermal characteristics. But it was basically rubberized plastic type stuff. It said each piece was 0.5" thick, but in reality, they were about 1/8" thick material. Took a bit of searching to find a product that would reasonably match original brick on home for detached garage,most was antique or heavily tumbled. This brick worked perfectly to help style the detached garage to fit the home. Amazingly easy to install, used an 80 tooth blade on table saw to make the cuts nice and precise. When installing under a window, soffit or other projection it may be necessary to remove the nailing hem. Utility trim replaces the nailing hem, securing the panel to the wall. Installing utility trim: fasten trim into j-channel. The utility trim should have a 1/4" (6.4 mm) space from the edge of the j-channel. Fasten utility trim every 10-12" (254-305 mm) (fig 8). Triming siding: cut the siding to fit in wall projection trim. After the panel is cut, use a snap lock punch to create locking tabs every 10 to 12" (254-305 mm) (fig 9). Lock the panel into utility trim.

The GenStone inside corner ledger is designed for use with GenStone ledger when you would like to continue a ledger around a 90º inside corner. The groove on the bottom of the ledger allows it to fit on top of the shiplap edge of a GenStone 90º inside the corner panel. The inside corner ledger can be installed in the same way the straight ledger is installed, using adhesive on the back and screws in the face of the ledger. Fastener holes can be easily concealed with GenStone eXact color caulking. Corner ledger pieces are especially important in completing a wainscoting project that spans multiple sides of a home or business. The success of a DIY project often lies in the small details. The multi-colored color brick panels were easy to work with. They look and feel like real brick. It is a dense but lightweight foam that can be cut easily and precisely with any cutting tool. I used a table saw,an oscillati ng tool and a jig saw. The touch up paint goes a long way and works great on those exposed cut edges and hides where screw holes and small mistakes were caulked. The ledger brick is a beautiful way to transition the brick were you want to end it. I left some pieces out in the rain and didn't affect it at all. I will be buying it again.. John C..
