Innis rugs and flatweaves are handmade by semi-nomadic tribes who live along the Turkish Mediterranean coast. Wool and locally produced natural dyes are used in their weaving. Predominant colors used are bright red, indigo blue, beige, camel brown, and to a lesser degree white. The designs used have a representation of flowers, ears of grain, and stylized animal and human figures.
