I paid for assembly and the person was able to build it without any issues. The drawers below are a little flimsy, but love the extra added storage under the bed. It’s a super pretty bed and exactly what I wanted but we got a memory foam mattress that comes in a box and since there isn’t enough wood slats that go across, the mattress was falling to the floor through the very large gaps. We were able to just get pieces of ply-wood cut to put under the mattress and that seems to be working fine! Other than that it was super easy to put together. the bed is so gorgeous!!! it only has 4 wood pieces, so a box spring is definitely recommended because if not, just placing the mattress on top of the wood boards, your mattress will start sinking in between them. other than that only issue the bed itself I’d give it a sign out of 10 it is very sturdy and definitely comfortable to sleep on and adds an aesthetic to your room!!. Solid bed. Very good quality and sharp looking. We can’t wait to get our new mattress for it. I highly recommend using a ratcheting screwdriver and Allen wrench bit to put it together, though, as the turnkey Allen wrench they provide will make you wish you had paid someone else to put it together (we actually did pay for the assembly, but Angi didn’t find anyone in our area, so we assembled it ourselves).. We wanted to get a full size bed for our teen, but we also considered the size of his bedroom. This platfom bed takes up little visual space, allowing almost one foot of under-the-bed storage in which we picked up containers for odds and ends. The wood quality is great; I read specifications on quite a few of the beds and found this one to have few to little added chemicals. It was just what we needed, but then we moved....... We are still using it in our new place, but boy can I see what a space saver this would have been in her other room. Not that her current room is large or anything. My soon to be 9 year old daughter is enjoying it , but compared to another bunk I bought through wayfair, it is far less sturdy. I tried to jam it hard into a corner to add as much support as possible. My husband and I also double checked all the connections, but you can feel the pressure on the ladder as you climb up to the top. This bothers me a little, but she is still small enough. It might be a bigger issue for a teenager. For me, it is a notable issue, so I'll place this piece at a 4 star. However, overall, the piece does the trick on space saving with a desk included.
