FontanaShowers Nickel Oval Vessel Bathroom Sink with Faucet DSFD0021SDP

Features

• Integrated Touchless System: The vessel sink is paired with a motion-activated faucet and a perfectly synchronized automatic soap dispenser. By removing every manual lever, knob, or pump, the system virtually eliminates cross-contamination on high-traffic wash stations. Users move their hands under the faucet to trigger water and then within the soap-dispensing zone to receive precisely metered cleanser—never touching a surface that another person has just handled.
• Advanced Sensor Technology: At the heart of both faucet and dispenser is Fontana’s proprietary Infrared AI Smart-Chip. This micro-controller constantly recalibrates to ambient light, reflectivity of nearby surfaces, and hand-movement speed, ensuring the sensor activates only when intended—no “phantom” starts or stops. The instant detection (<0.5 s) allows water to flow the moment hands appear, while the auto-shutoff (factory-set to 30 s, field-adjustable) halts the stream if someone walks away.
• Dual Power Options: Unlike many single-mode units, the DSFD0021SDP combo ships ready for either hard-wire AC (110 V) or battery (six-volt, 4×AA) operation. Facilities can connect to mains electricity for maintenance-free performance, yet still retain battery backup to keep restrooms operational during outages. In retrofit scenarios or remote kiosks where wiring is impractical, installers can rely solely on the long-life alkaline cells—thanks to the system’s energy-saving “sleep” logic that draws micro-amps when idle.
• Durable Construction: Both the faucet body and soap-dispenser barrel are CNC-machined from low-lead brass—meeting U.S. Safe Drinking Water Act standards—then triple-plated in polished chrome. This metallurgical foundation resists pitting, dezincification, and chemical attack from harsh bathroom cleaners. Internal waterways and solenoid housings are sealed by EPDM and Viton® gaskets that withstand extremes from 0.5 kg/cm² to 7.0 kg/cm² (10–125 psi). Lab tests simulate more than 500,000 on-off cycles without failure, demonstrating commercial-grade stamina.
• Design Versatility: While polished chrome is the flagship look, Fontana offers the DSFD0021SDP suite in brushed nickel, matte black, brushed gold, antique gold, gun-metal grey, and rose gold. Each finish is applied via PVD or electro-plating techniques that embed color at the molecular level, achieving scratch-resistant, fade-proof surfaces. Designers can tie the faucet-dispenser duo into monochrome minimalist palettes, warm spa-inspired schemes, or opulent hospitality interiors.
• Ease of Installation: The basin’s 1¾-inch drain aperture and the faucet’s 1⅜-inch mounting shank align with ANSI/ASME A112 fixture dimensions, so contractors can slot the combo into existing counters without core drilling. Color-coded hot- and cold-water hoses with ½-inch female compression ends connect directly to stop valves—no adaptors required. A detachable control box houses the solenoid and battery pack; it snaps to a mounting bracket under the counter, simplifying future service.
• Commercial-Grade Performance: Engineered for venues that see thousands of hand-washing cycles per week, the system meets or exceeds ADA accessibility guidelines with a 5-inch clearance for wheelchair users and forward-reach activation. Water-resistant solenoid enclosures carry an IP66 rating, blocking dust and powerful jets of water—ideal for janitorial spray-downs. The ceramic sink’s non-porous glaze prevents microbial growth and resists thermal shock from sudden hot-to-cold water changes.
