I purchased the Vornado Portal Low Profile Window Fan for our nearly 200-year-old farmhouse, which does not have central air conditioning, and it has made a noticeable difference in keeping the house comfortable. It is very comparable in sound and pressure to the same desk top fan that I use in my bedroom. Oh boy. This fan is very nice and produces a lot of wind even on the lower settings. I'm impressed. It will cover a large room easily, or on the very low settings, a smaller room. The design looks modern, and it doesn't take up much space tucked in the corner. The remote is a nice touch as well. I really like this fan, and Wayfair had the best price as usual.
