We got the right mattress size but it kind of curls underneath the top of the headboard. I might create my own holes to reposition the headboard higher later, however, my son loves it he picked this out himself. Took less than 30 min to build. I believe we used a Novella mattress.

Love this bed, looks so nice and very soft. The assembly took a long time because I didn’t have an electric drill so I would recommend that. Also the instructions were wrong, there were holes and instructions that didn’t line up between the two instruction manuals (one for the bed frame and one for the headboard) I figured it out myself but I don’t get why it’s wrong in the first place
