Ceiling Fan Wall Controls

NEEDS RECEIVER! I purchased two wall controls to install on pull chain fans without realizing I also needed the receivers. I wish this was highlighted in the product description. Note to Hunter I wish ceiling fan controls came in two options - the current configuration inclusive of light control (which i do not need) and one specifically for fan only.

I absolutely hate this trend of multi-function buttons--especially when they are not labelled with any meaningful symbols.

I would suggest buying this remote for those owning a Hunter fan. Having said that, this is my experience: I bought this as an extra remote to be mounted on the other end of a wall in a large space. The original remote that came with the fan did not come with a wall mount holder. The remote does what it needs to do however, without the small instruction card, it is in NO WAY intuitive except for: light on/off, fan on/off and fan speed up/down. A first time user of this remote would not know how to reverse the fan or toggle between dim/bright on the light without the card. A couple of the card instructions don’t seem to work the way it is defined. If Hunter is listening, the remote SHOULD have what is essentially this same remote but wider with two sets of buttons; one for the fan and one for the light. FAN on/off, FAN direction and FAN speed arrows up/down - LIGHT on/off and dimming arrows up/down. Also Hunter - you should model a version after the Lutron Pico remote so it could easily be incorporated into a switch bank. The Lutron Pico remote will not operate a DC motor fan but the Lutron app with a caseta bridge will operate a Home Kit enabled Hunter fan if your looking to do something like that.

It doesn’t work. Called hunter and went over how to pair it and it still doesn’t work

The remote is simple to connect. We called technical support to make sure we connected it to two fans on our porch.

Once I called customer service and got some help with pairing this remote to my fan it worked great! The customer service representative was very professional and patient. I really appreciate the Hunter Fan quality of all thier products.

This is the second controller sent to me that will not pair with fan. I will never buy a Hunter product again.

Replacement remote works great. Easy peasy to set up.
