Brass: Clean with warm water & a gentle, neutral PH soap. Use a soft, damp (not wet) cloth to avoid scratching. Regular application of beeswax will slow down the formation of the patina. If scratches appear a fine grade sandpaper & polishing will help to smooth them out. Contact a metal worker to carry out the work professionally. Avoid polish if you wish to encourage patina formation. Don't use acidic or alkaline cleaning products.
