Preamble I’m a real buyer. I paid full price. Every single one of the 200 reviews were incentivized, which means they got it for free most likely. Warning it’s about 105 inches long, not 108. Review I was looking for a cozy, modular sectional that wouldnt be a nightmare to set up, and this corduroy cloud sofa definitely delivers on comfort and convenience right out of the box. The material itself is easily the highlight of the couch. The green corduroy is unbelievably soft to the touch, but the cushions at least as of yet aren’t terribly plush and are quite thin. Putting the couch together was surprisingly stress-free. As promised, the assembly required absolutely no tools, and every piece fit together intuitively without any hassle. I was able to get the entire L-shaped setup put together and in place in no time at all. It is rare to find furniture at this price point that goes together so smoothly without having to dig through bags of loose hardware. The entire shipment came in two small packages that can be lifted by one person. That was impressive. However, there are a few design details that keep this from being a completely perfect five-star sofa. The back of the couch is noticeably low-profile and quite short. If you like to lean back with full upper-back support, you will quickly notice the lack of height, which makes sitting in the middle of a room feel a bit exposed and unsupported. Because of that short back, this sofa is definitely best suited to be placed directly up against a wall. Having a solid wall behind the back cushions gives you the extra support you need to lean back comfortably without feeling like you are pushing the frame backward. Also, while the footers of the couch seem steady, they are plastic. I think they’ll hold up, but don’t expect wood or metal. Also, I really wish the ottoman legs had anti slip rubber pads included. I purchased some for 3 but this should have been included. Additionally, the way the seat cushions sit and fill out creates a slight forward slope. When you sit down, the cushion shape tends to push you forward, making it feel like you are subtly sliding or falling off the front edge. Ok, hang on, because I wasnt expecting this to be this quality for the price. This couch is deep! The cushions are very comfortable, even better after about a week when everything is poofed up. This is absolutely perfect if you have dogs, everything just wipes right off of it. I have 2 larger dogs that rassle and bounce off the cushions and the back of it when they are zooming and chasing each other, there arent any scratches or anything on it yet, although Im sure with these dogs there will be eventually. Its actually really good for sleeping! My brother in law has been crashing on our couch for a few weeks, and when we added this one to our game room, he relocated himself to it. It was fairly easy to put together, therer was one point where I needed a hand lining up two opposite sided at the same time (to slide the back support down into its holder. It took me about an hour to asssemble but I was also watching an Astros game while I was doing it. As another review stated there are some plastic parts, but I found no issue with any of them. You cannot tell the legs are plastic unless you are screwing them on. This couch definitely needs to back up to a wall or maybe a sofa table because the back of it velcros down the middle, and that whole back upholstery part just kind of hangs straight down, think..... like a bed skirt. Thats a good comparison. When I was assembling I was afraid it was going to be low, but it is normal couch height. I very often find myself kicked back on it laying down with my head on the armrest, it doesnt need a bunch if pillows to be comfortable. The color is exactly like it looked on the listing. Im very happy with this couch. Would be great for a starter home, game room, apt., condo, etc... if youre into the PBarn or RH feel of a room, this isnt the couch for you. It would not flow seamlessly with high quality designer furniture or real leather, but us normal folks, its a great buy.
