The tempered glass surfaces provide ample space on the top and lower shelf for storage, display, and serving needs. I should have paid more attention to the specifications that these tables are low compared to the one I just gave away. Honestly, these are beautiful and not overly elaborate tables. They are very heavy because of the thick glass, which makes the tables weighted. Also, there is a barcode sticker that was stuck on the bar of the table base. Please don't do that! That's just more work to remove with the goo-be-gone. Manufacturing, shame on you! Anything that costs well over $200 shouldn't have a sticker anywhere but on the plastic.. Anonymous.
