Absolutely the best (office) chair I have ever owned. What an amazing heavy duty industrial chair!!!! If you are going to buy this PLEASE read-on, there are a couple of things you need to know when putting it together. The instructions aren’t that good. I added photos to back it up. I got this for my husband who is 6’5”. 1) The foot lever that connects to the center pump needs to be pounded on to the this attached latch using a rubber mallet. At first I thought I was going to have to request a new piece but am happy I didn’t give up. 2) Look at my photos because when you attach center piece (pump) to the base you need tp make sure the Foot Lever is straight. Because once you attach it you can’t move it to straighten it out. Only the chair itself will turn. 3) The screw that you have to use to hold the Foot Lever onto the latch (even though I had to hammer it on ) was threaded BACKWARDS. I was using my power drill to try and get it to grab but it wouldn’t. First it thought it was the wrong size so when I hit reverse it screwed in. I’m not making this up! If you can get past this the chair is wonderful and so worth the frustration! Comfortable, wide, reclines nicely, attractive has a foot rest, raises and lowers, can rotate. Update. The chair is beautiful, but not functional. The chair was created to rotate fully, but because of the construction, the chair gets locked at certain odd angles. Where the chair is very decorative on the sides, that is the part that keeps the chair from turning. The chair is comfortable, but the back rest is not sturdy. The amazing assembly team sent by Wayfair tried so hard to do a good job and making the back sturdy that they broke one of the bolts. That was not a dealbreaker for me because the part of the bolt they broke was just decorative. It’s just simply that the chair is not functional. Because the chair often gets stuck in between the sides, it does not recline easily to the shampoo bowl because of becoming stuck. The release lever for the back is also for left-handed stylist and not right handed Stylists. So being right handed, if I wanted to recline the chair, I would have to walk around to the other side just to recline it. However, even that is difficult because once the chair gets stuck, your foot can’t access the lever. The base was scratched, and the chair is also much lighter than it appears in person. Again, that was not a dealbreaker. It’s just that the chair is simply not at all functional. I’ll be returning it. I’m really disappointed because I really wanted to keep this beautiful chair.
