This cart is just the right size for a small “kitchen island” it’s a landing spot when I’m pulling multiple items out of the refrigerator and a good place to set up drinks or plates and utensils when we are entertaining. The counter space provided by the cart is very helpful with meal prepping. My husband and I love to work together on putting together fun dinners. With the space we’ve gained with our new cart, we aren’t bumping into each other! We do use cutting boards, so as to preserve the cart’s top, but that just makes it simpler when it’s time to clean up! Bought two of these in cherry with the stainless steel top. Came in three packages, all in good shape, with no damage to contents. The stainless top comes with a plastic shrink wrap to protect it, which is a bit tedious to remove, but keeps the top from getting scratched. Assembly was easy, and despite the deliberately loose dowels, goes together fairly well. My only complaint is that one of top drawers doesn't slide in straight. It's not too bad, but could be better. We bought the Diamondback Solid Wood 24" Counter Stool in Mahogany and we LOVE them! I do wish I had bought the 30" inch stools, but hind sight is 20/20, isn't it? You really cannot tell how it would fit without seeing it in person; honestly, it would be helpful if Wayfair put the both sized stools up to the counter in a photo. For now, you have me telling you, that if you are buying this for the Dodge Kitchen Island, and especially if you are putting the wheels on that island which puts the counter at 38" high, consider buying the 30" inch stools, Ok? The Mahogany stools are not as dark as the counter top, but the black would not have matched either, soooo . . . it is what it is; we still love them because they are GORGEOUS !! You will love them too! If you do buy the 24" inch stools, know that they will be easier for your kids to climb into.
