Very easy assembly: the back engaged two brackets on the chair with no issue. I did find it more advantageous to connect the power and controller prior to attaching the back. Chair raises a few inches vertically before it tilts forward in the “lift”mode: this appears to a positive feature. Operation is slow in lift and recline modes: not a deal breaker. Very comfortable..
