As described. The cushion is firm / stiff, but comfortable. The back is low and a bit reclined, but also comfortable to lean against. Slightly high from the floor, but similar to dining room chairs and the cushioning might compress. Comes in a giant thin box that we were able to get up the steps and assemble without much trouble, but would be impossible for one person. We bought this for the foot of a king size bed and it is perfect for a place to put on shoes, rest a suitcase while packing, or drape a blanket over the back to pull up when one partner sleeps colder than the other.. I love the bench it fits perfect. But the delivery lady was not very pleasant at all. She was upset because the box didn’t fit on her dolly and she had to maneuver around the vehicles. She said next time please have a spot cleared (driveway) for deliveries. I found this unprofessional. I have never had this type of request asked of me on any of my large Wayfair purchases. I love the look, feel, and size of the bench. However, I was disappointed that the legs only have pegs that push in rather than screw in tightly. They are wobbly and may need to be glued in. I also had to google how to close the top of the storage bench (lift it back beyond full open to release the pin). The bench has to be held down to do this unless it is full enough to have weight or it just raises up off the ground. It should come with some directions for all of that.. Donna. Chester, VA.
