This is a very sturdy, solid bookcase and fits perfectly in the small entryway to our coastal bedroom. I rated it a 4 because one of the cane panels wasn't stretched tight enough compared to the others so there was a slight bulge. Otherwise, it would have been a 5. The cane is a nice touch to complement the wood. Wayfair Customer Service has been great in resolving the issue. I also used the assembly service from Angi. Our technician did a great job, was professional and personable, was careful with all the pieces, and was on time (actually early).. Karen. Windsor, CT. Sat Jul 04 2026

Great product! Easy delivery- guys went above and beyond! Our driveway is difficult to maneuver, and they navigated it with a big truck with no problem!. Wendy. Tolland, CT. Tue Dec 16 2025

Great book case! Wasn’t difficult to assemble and looks great in my office!. Jon. Tinley Park, IL. Sat Jun 06 2026

This solid wood bookcase brings a clean, architectural look to your space while offering plenty of room for organization. It's crafted from solid oak, showcasing visible woodgrain for added depth and a touch of organic texture. The open-shelf design allows you to display books, decorative accents, or storage baskets with ease. Its low-profile silhouette makes it a versatile addition that fits neatly under windows or against shorter walls. The stackable design gives you the flexibility to expand your storage as your needs grow. Plus, adjustable shelves let you customize the layout for taller items.

I purchased the 3-shelf size, 36" H X 48" wide. It holds my entire cookbook collection and does double duty as a divider between the foyer and kitchen/dining area. Beautiful, heavy wood in the mission style. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the backing. I wish furniture manufacturers would stop to consider that not every piece of furniture is going to be put against a wall, so it would be nice to have a decent backing. The back of this bookcase is some sort of shiny, vinyl covered panel and the color is awful. Maybe it was meant to be faux marble, but they missed by a mile. It simply looks like someone threw dirt on it then watered it!. Gloria. Exton, PA. Sat Apr 18 2026

Our wooden bookshelf is a must-have for homes with limited storage space. You can store anything from papers to ornamental pieces. Made of solid oak wood with a natural finish and MDF with oak veneer, this corner shelf is sturdy and durable. It's perfect for use as a decorative piece. This display shelf has ample storage space for displaying trophies, collector's items and photographs as well as keeping various household items like books, cups, potted plants, etc. neatly organized.

Ours is the 5-shelf version, which we use as a corner piece. The fit quality depends alot on how careful you are (it doesn't line up unless you work at it). Once assembled very solid. It is NOT very deep but we wanted a slim, shallow piece for opposite corners in our dining room, so it met our needs.. Danny. Buffalo Grove, IL. Wed Jul 01 2026

Uncluttered contrast. Built from solid wood, this mid-century-inspired bookcase ladder-like shape etagere silhouette with an open back. Four shelves provide vertical display space designed to show off your library + maximize your square footage.

The San Mateo Home Office Bunching Bookcase is the perfect addition to any home office. This piece is crafted from solid hardwood with a contemporary gray or Tuscan finish that will blend seamlessly into a variety of spaces. It features 5 separate compartments for storage and organization. Its sleek design allows it to fit your decor or other pieces of furniture for a streamlined look that won't detract from other items in the room.

This bookcase was purchased to replace one that was significantly smaller. Additionally, the other bookcase was made of laminate and pressboard that was of decent quality, but didn't quite have the quality to last for the time we desired. Once we received our shipment from Wayfair and unboxed all the pieces, I could see immediately that the quality of the material was far superior to not only our previous bookcase, but also several other products we've purchased from Wayfair. The finish was smooth as silk, and the stain was evenly applied throughout. The hardware to assemble the bookcase was also of superior quality to some of the cheap packs that arrive with other D-I-Y assembled products. NOTE: This product can be assembled by one person, but it would be much quicker and easier with two (or three if you're like me with two eager-to-help young 'uns). One of the trademarks of solid wood furniture is the weight of the finished product. This one indeed was heavy. Granted, non-solid wood furniture can be heavy, but if any of it is light, you can be assured the quality is slight! All in all, we are very pleased with this product and would highly recommend it.. Adam. Hallsville, TX. Tue Apr 07 2026

This etagere bookcase delivers a clean, architectural look with its open-frame design and tiered shelving. This wooden bookcase is crafted from oak and exudes a rustic charm, making it a timeless addition to your study or living room. This elegant bookshelf is crafted from solid oak wood that makes it durable and sturdy. The robust wooden shelf requires minimal maintenance, and the beautiful texture of the wood gives it a rustic charm. The shelves provide ample space for keeping your collections of books, magazines, and documents in perfect order. With a simple yet timeless design, the bookshelf can also be used for displaying decorative items, photo frames, etc. Warning: In order to prevent overturning, this product must be used with the wall attachment device provided.

The bookcase itself is very nice, but some holes didn't line up when putting it together. Also the top portion and the bottom portion do not line up flush across the front. They are offset from each other. I did not see anything explaining that the pegs that hold the shelves are made of plastic. I have bought other bookcases that use pegs to set the shelves onto, but they are metal.. Jane. Warren, OH. Sat Jun 27 2026

Blending warm white oak styling with clean modern contrast, this tall display bookcase cabinet is designed to bring elevated storage and showcase appeal to dining rooms, living rooms, and home libraries. The cabinet pairs black-framed tempered glass doors with a glossy white PET countertop for a refined mixed-material look that feels both bright and substantial. Each lower cabinet includes an adjustable shelf for more flexible organization, and the drawers are fitted with quiet undermount slides for a smoother, more polished user experience. A four-head spotlight system with cool, daylight, and warm lighting modes adds ambiance and visibility, while black cylindrical U-shaped handles and included anti-tip hardware complete the design with both style and peace of mind.

Beautiful cabinet! Very solid piece and looks more costly than it is. Well worth the 8 hours it took to put together. :) We added it to a spare bedroom used as a workout room/reading room. It has plentiful storage for hiding and organizing things you don't want out in the open, while still having a nice space to display those miscellaneous collectibles one acquires on trips abroad. The light feature has 2 different temperatures (cool/warm) which elevate the entire piece. We store our board/card games in the cabinetry/drawers as well as craft supplies, small photoshoot props, office supplies, etc. The height is impressive! I haven't styled the glass shelves yet. I'm not certain they could handle heavy/abundant dishware like the website photos show if using in a kitchen/pantry setting (specs will note shelf max weight).. Anonymous. AZ. Sat Jul 04 2026

The book shelf arrived in a lot of packaging which I was happy about because there were no scratches or damage anywhere. It looks just like the picture and was exactly what I was looking for. The quality is excellent. Very sturdy. We will probably anchor it to the wall just to be on the safe side because it is in child’s room. But not really necessary. Alma. Vienna, VA. Sun Aug 09 2026

Well, I can't give a complete review yet as I have asked to return this and get a new one. This will be the 3rd delivery. The first time, one side panel was totally broken in half and the assembly guy said he wouldn't be able to do it (obviously). The second time, the inside of the back panel came with some kind of grease or heavy dirt stains (not talking about the blackish that is part of the coloring; it had some kind of marks that looked like someone stepped on it and the dirt was different in texture but didn't wipe off). The side panels on the inside also have streaks. AND it's totally unstable! I'd say maybe it's my floor but I had a bookcase in that same spot before and it didn't wobble like this one is. So I reordered it but on top of all that, it is now emitting heavy fumes! I have two air purifiers going, a fan, etc and it is diminishing. I hope it will work out. It's really hard to find a bookcase if you have space limitations and lots of books and want a sturdy, 6 shelf book case. (It says 5 shelves but unlike every other company, they are not counting the bottom shelf). On the plus side, the back of the bookcase is definitely stronger and nicer than most cardboardish/particle board bookcase backs and it is indeed a very handsome book case. The shelves seem strong. the sides look ok but if you knock on them like you would knock on a door, they sound hollow. do I think it's worth the asking price? No! But the options are limited depending on your requirements as I looked for 2 1/2 weeks full time for a 5-6 shelf bookcase that would hold hard cover books and not exceed 30-32 inches wide. We shall see. I heard three times is the charm! lol!. Deborah. Washington, Dc. Sun Nov 30 2025
