When this sofa was delivered in three boxes, I was frankly skeptical. In all of my prior experience, sofas were one solid piece of furniture that arrived with a protective covering of shrink wrap. I was in for a big surprise. As we unboxed this sofa, a number of things became clear. The construction is quite ingenious. The frame consists of six pieces. There are two bases, two backs and two arms. All of these fit tightly together with interlocking metal brackets that easily but securely connect. There are twelve legs that screw into the framework of the sofa. The assembly instructions are very easy to follow but hardly even necessary. Best of all, the comfort of this sofa is excellent thanks to the firmness of the two seat and two back cushions and the lovely boucle fabric. This was the best experience I've ever had with delivery. The couch is beautiful...but the delivering folks were incredible. Very nicely packaged and shipped, and easy to put together. Allows flexibility for left or right facing options. The cushions ship vacuum packed and need 48 hours to fluff. It’s super easy to put the feet on by hand, and having a rubber mallet to connect the couch connectors together is very helpful. Seems to be decent quality material and cushioning. The brown color is more like a sand color and blends really nicely with our light gray walls, giving the room a more warm feeling than our previous black pleather sectional. We usually don’t allow our dogs on the furniture and our kids are all grown, but we shall see how it holds up with our grandkids over the years! Came in missing parts. The he sofa was missing the side brackets to slide the side piece on. The company immediately sent out the brackets. Problem was, we were unable to get them on there perfectly so we just left it off. Pros: good manufacture to purchase from, the quality it good, and when sitting on it as a chair it’s comfortable. Cons: the reclining part I'm not impressed with. When you recline it as far as it goes, it’s not for tall people (meaning over 5’7”) your feet overhang. The couch is very conducive to two people which was a big fear of mine! The seat cushion is firm on the edges but the middle has some give. Personally, the arm rests are a little low and the back cushions could be a little more padded but overall this couch is a nice addition to my living room. It was affordable and will provide a bed for guests when needed in my compact apartment. Note to those purchasing, the shipment may come in 2 deliveries so don’t necessarily expect to be able to put it together upon first delivery ETA. I’ve included photos for reference, including the back, which wasn’t very clear in the listing. For clarity, the inside seating width (arm to arm) is about 50 inches.
