I was looking to downsize my home office desk and wanted a minimalist look. This checked all my boxes. Reviews were spot on regarding it being sturdy and easy to put together. It did come with a few minor dings, but they weren’t visible. The only issue was the drawer had a small cracksplit in it. Something to note the drawer cannot be replaced on its own. I reached out to Wayfair about a new drawer and they were prepared to replace the entire desk. Since everything else was great, I opted to keep it. My husband glued it it came out meh lol, but fortunately the drawer is tucked underneath, so it’s not a deal breaker. I love the look and the colors. Drawer operates well too. I really do love this desk for the most part, but there are a few things that lost it a star. First, the storage is pretty low quality for the price. The drawers are just cardboard on the bottom and they don’t soft close or anything. The shelving on the other side is kind of dumb also - they’re not big enough to fit anything but small planners or something like that. Partly my fault for not looking at those dimensions, but I just assumed I could keep books there. And finally, putting this desk together is pretty difficult alone. I’ve put together a lot of furniture on my own, and I know what I’m doing, but this took like 6 hours. And I think one of those hours was just lining up the desk too with all the tiny holes to screw it on lol would be much easier with help. Now for positives - the desk looks really good and works really well! The desktop is sturdy and high quality, and the presets are very easy to set and use. There’s plenty of room underneath for your chair or a walking pad. A second replacement came (from TX) and arrived in even worse condition (both tops had screws missing and screw holes stripped so won't stay on with screws provided, cracks on all sides, dents, etc.). I asked for a return label so whomever can inspect and see how badly damaged they are coming from TX. Third replacement sent from New Jersey or maybe Virginia- I cannot remember. Arrived in perfect condition like the first did. Customer service could not be better, but I'd call to order this piece with customer service and beg that it comes NOT from Texas. The desk and hutch are quality made. The ordering process was painful because the Wayfair description does not match the SKU number. So I thought I was ordering the desk and hutch together. Only the hutch showed up. Called Wayfair to explain. They said they were sending a desk. Another hutch showed up. I refused the delivery. WHa torefund the order and order the desk separately. The desk description said it came with a keyboard tray and chair. Only a desk was delivered. Called Wayfair who passed information on to the manufacturer. Manufacturer said it did not come with a keyboard tray or chair but offered a discount as a courtesy. Wayfair and the manufacturer need to get together to fix and match the SKU numbers to the correct descriptions. But the desk and hutch are very nice and very, very heavy and solid. Beautiful oak desk; looks great in that room. Although I did pay extra for full-service delivery to that room and removal from packaging, Wayfair disputes that and the delivery men refused. Stop working with shippers in New Mexico who don't follow through!
