The instructions were not easy to follow at all. We have the same exact couch in a grey but I don’t remember it being this hard to set up. The couch is solid though and we must have liked it for us to get 2 of it! This one is in our family room and it has a beautiful royal blue color to it. If you are looking for a less bulky set that is still long and has room, this should do it. It does not look cheap. But I will say this - from knowledge of the other grey one we have, the fabric starts to have piles on it after a short time and this happens with age and from rubbing (sitting) upon it. I am now seeing that there might be ways to remove piling from furniture. So easy to put together even by yourself--only need to attach the arm rests and legs. No tools needed as.the screws and hex key are provided. The hardest part was taking it out of the box (or in my case, ripping the box away from the couch). As a couch, it feels great if you like stiffer support, like I do. If youre looking for a cloud to sit on, this aint it. Similarly the bed portion is kinda of stiff for sleeping but its easily solved by a mattress topper. Its super easy to fold and unfold, but mine didnt come with directions, so here are some tips. To flatten it to a bed, unfold the seat to flat first. Then unzip the pockets in the back of the backrest and unbend the legs for the backrest. After, gently pull the backrest forward first (like the backseat of your car when youre trying to get to your trunk from the inside of your car) and then push it all the way back to the floor. If you want to recline, you have to pull it up to the desired angle from the flat position. Note, the back has a huge exposed zipper (see pic) so if you dont put it against a wall, youll probably want a throw blanket or something else to hide it. Fair warning, it seems smaller than a twin in terms of width so larger guests and guests who roll in their sleep may feel uncomfortable with the width. The full bed is comfortable to sleep on. It’s soft and cushy. I slept on it for 5 nights straight and didn’t feel any back pain. The assembly instructions were easy to follow. One person can put it together, but it won’t be super easy with the parts that require you to carry or lift the parts to merge them together. The entire furniture comes in 3 separate boxes, all labeled. If you’re doing the assembly without professional help, you’ll have to first remove all the parts from the boxes before reading the assembly instructions in full. I got a bit confused with how the parts were organized until I realized some of the smaller parts were kept within the bigger parts to condense them together. The packaging was also superb. I didn’t have any damaged parts and could easily remove the parts from the delivery box. From a hardware perspective, the sleeper sectional sofa is well made. From a cushion perspective the cushions are extremely thin and delicate, and after having it for just one week it is already showing compression signs in the actual cushioning.
