I needed a small sofa and did not have any futon-type item in mind at all, but when I saw that this could be manipulated in so many ways, I thought it would be pretty handy - and attractive - and it is! I love it! I bought this as a safe furniture piece for my playroom. My autistic grandson needed a safe sofa that can also fold to a bed for when he stays the night. It is very firm and has only been set up for 5 hours. I was actually quite surprised. I I was really surprised how easy it was to put together. It did not require two people as the instruction stated I do wish the cushions were fluffier.
