This Bachman extendable dining table is just what we needed! It's expensive but the quality is very good. It is a solid wood indeed and it fits perfectly in our space. We needed something that will work for our not so big dining area for everyday use but can be extended to use when there's a big gathering. We got a different set of dining chairs coz we needed more back support and this table and its bench matched perfectly with the different chairs we got. This purchase was big enough that full service assembly was free from the Wayfair guys so that was really helpful. It's quite heavy too. My husband and I absolutely love the look and how versatile the design is. If you want to achieve a modern, timeless or even farmhouse vibe in your house, this will fit your needs! 10/10 recommend.. This extendable dining table features a classic pedestal base that easily adjusts to accommodate family meals and weekend gatherings. The central butterfly leaf mechanism seamlessly expands the surface space to seat up to six people for casual dinners or special occasions. When retracted, the compact profile keeps your room feeling open and uncrowded. It also features a sturdy turned column that provides balanced support across the entire base.

Assembly was a little tricky because the leaf did not align with the pre-drilled holes. Moving the hardware fixed this. There is a little crack right in the middle of the leaf which was there upon arrival but a centerpiece can cover this up. All in all I like the look of the table. Anonymous. Fri Jul 10 2026

I think this is better than the price. It super easy to put together (put on the 4 legs and that’s it) and super easy to extend. It is very small when closed (which is what I wanted). The extension works on metal slides which isn’t often seen on inexpensive tables. It looks great, too. As you can see, my eating book has been overtaken by a bog bed, dog food container, and dog water bowl so I needed something really small. I’m a fan!. Elizabeth. Wilmington, DE. Tue Aug 04 2026

Our new solid wood extendable dining room table is really nice. The finished product is beautiful and why we have it as a 5 star rating. A few screws were missing and the dowels in the leaf extensions got stuck requiring pliers to remove.  Luckily, my husband is handy and could problem solve how to fix it. He put it together in about an hour. The table has two leaves to extend it, and the wood finish is really pretty. We already had the 4 chairs, and they are perfect with the table. We are happy we got this on Wayfair.. Maureen. Perrysburg, OH. Tue Sep 15 2026
