The color of the piece was more gray than I thought it would be, but I actually like it better this way! This is a very sturdy piece and didn’t take too long to put together. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the lift mechanism on the lift top is super tight and needs adjusting. I have to put my foot on the bottom shelf when lifting the lift top table up. We were skeptical to buy due to no previous reviews, but I am so glad we purchased! Assembly is a little tough due to the angle of the legs, but after that putting the top on is simple. (I assembled it alone, would definitely be easier with a partner!) The wheels are already attached to the base and the table rolls very easily. It is heavy and sturdy and seems to be a quality piece that will last us years to come! Very pleased with our purchase. For clarification, the base is a square 34" x 34" with the top being 42" x 42" at the widest middle point, and the length between each octagon corner being 30". The diagonal of the table is 51". Got tired of furniture made with MDF and on-line reviews that tell tales of the furniture crumbling during assembly. This is a beautiful end table. It’s made of solid wood - heavy and sturdy. Assembly was super easy (altho’ the instructions left something to be desired). Put it together by myself (73 yo F) -six pieces (table top, table bottom shelf and 4 legs).
