At 36 inches tall, the Ellery works as hard as a buffet in the dining room as it does as a media console in the living room. Gorgeous. I’m still waiting on decor and the rest of the furniture but have my whole art room planned and finished at this point. In person, the piece has texture in the paint that is deeper and more nuanced than expected. This makes it all the more striking. Looking closely, one can almost see a palace on fire in the abstractions. An obscure reference, but I’ll take it. So I will agree with other reviewers that when it arrives...it has a finish that is different from the product photos: "The distressed finish looked like a heavy layer of garish splatter paint making the wood have a 3 dimensional surface". This is true but you can't see that until you are literally touching the product. Overall, the piece is great! It comes fully built and is extremely heavy. Feels like good quality.
