The sofa went together extremely easily with excellent directions and no tools required. The grey corduroy is very soft to the touch, quite soft and almost has a velvety feel to it, much more than corduroy material as advertised with subtle gray hues and nice defined lines. It has two very spacious and deep pockets on each end that is roomy enough for remotes, eyewear, phones as well as reading material. The cushions are perfectly firm with tremendous support in the lumbar area for those of us with deteriorating backs.
