The sofa went together extremely easily with excellent directions and no tools required. The grey corduroy is very soft to the touch, quite soft and almost has a velvety feel to it, much more than corduroy material as advertised with subtle gray hues and nice defined lines. It has two very spacious and deep pockets on each end that is roomy enough for remotes, eyewear, phones as well as reading material. The cushions are perfectly firm with tremendous support in the lumbar area for those of us with deteriorating backs. This was pretty easy to setup and put together. I did most of it myself in about 15-20 minutes. The back and armrests were where I needed some help, just because of the bulk. The arms are not thick, but that isnt an issue. The seat cushions are firm, but do soften, which I like. My only negative is the back of the couch does not come up very high, and the back pillows are on the thin side. If the couch was against a wall, this would not be an issue. Love the sofa. Have owned now for 2 months. Initially I was concerned that material was stretching. It does appear stretch after sitting on sofa but material returns to normal after a few minutes. Sofa has down feathers in it that seems to help with material returning to proper shape. The cushions themselves are comfortable. The sofa required some assembly, I.e. the legsfront wooden pieces needed to be attached. I was able to do it by myself. Love the look of the sofa and feel it will withstand the test of time and use..
