okay love how the couch came out! I had a family friend build this and it took him a couple hours alone. I would say it was relatively easy. however the pillows are flatter than i assumed, they don’t have much structure to them in terms of laying on them , but that makes sense with them acting as the “back board”. I would recommend adding some pillows to lounge on instead of these. The comfort of it is alright, still kinda stiff feeling but i’m hoping when i use it more i’ll kinda break it in. I like it, don’t love it. The slip cover is my favorite - it’s a thick linen and soft and really exceeded expectations there. It was really easy to put together. It’s not super, super comfortable like it’s pretty firm and the base has springs in it so it’s kind of hard and bouncy almost. The pillows are fine - way too big for the pillow covers that come with it but they technically fit. Id consider replacing the inserts. Overall, it’s fine. I like it, but it's not for everyone. This is unique--it's a big, low, orange chair with some BIG ridges in the corduroy. Be aware of things: 1. Because the corduroy ridges are wide and shallow, they don't trap dust as bad as narrower corduroy would (good thing!), but there are some imperfections in the ridges (see photo). 2. This is incredibly soft, but there's only a moderate amount of support in the seat. I weigh 170lbs and it feels fine, but if I were a bit heavier I might feel differently. 3. The back cushion is not attached to the chair with velcro or anything else (see photo), but since the back is curved, it does stay in place nicely. 4. As others mention, the seat height is NOT 18 INCHES, it's about 13 inches. And the footrest is an inch shorter, so your legs will be at a (slight) downward angle.
