Alder & Cherry Bookcases

This classic bookcase brings clean organization to your home office or study area. It's crafted from solid wood, highlighting a smooth texture that coordinates effortlessly with various decor styles. The open shelving provides plenty of space to display books, framed photos, or storage baskets while keeping them easy to access. A fully finished back panel adds versatile placement options, letting you position it against a wall or use it to divide your space. It also arrives ready to use right out of the box to save you time.

The color and style are perfect in our bedroom, however the first try arrived damaged and trying to re-box it in the original cut-apart, damaged box was not fun. The replacement arrived about a month after the initial, damaged shelf and is in good shape. This is the second time we have ordered a wood product that arrived damaged. I like the final result this time though. Last time the replacement console table was worse than the first one!. Ruth. Franklin, TN. Sat Sep 19 2026

Reminiscent of that farmhouse tucked behind the rolling hills, the Durham collection brings the casual cottage look to a more formal setting. With its weathered wire brush chalk finish, rustic knotty cherry tops and antique finish hardware, Durham will meet your home and office needs.

Pretty straight forward to put together and was able to assemble by myself. It looks nice once all put together. The four stars is for one complaint and one assembly suggestion. The complaint is regarding the stickers used to cover the cam locks. This is the 2nd piece of furniture I have assembled recently that gave you stickers instead of plastic discs to cover the cam lock holes. The stickers look cheesy and cheap and do not blend in as they are thin and I can see the gray of the cam lock underneath. Most of them are in places not visible so not concerned about those. However, inside the glass cabinets I would have preferred plastic caps as some of these are visible when looking in the cabinet. I don't know when the sticker thing started, but the bed chest in the photo that was purchased at the same time as the glass case had the same thing. Not a fan and might see if I can purchase those plastic cam lock covers separately as it makes the cabinet look cheap....but only when you look really hard. My assembly suggestion is small but might save you a crick in your neck if you have standard height ceilings. The final instructions have you tilt the case to standing and THEN attach the wall bracket. This was awkward and uncomfortable and there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to attach the bracket BEFORE you tilt the cabinet upright. You may need to make minor adjustments depending on how thick your floor trim is, but way easier to do that than get the screws lined up and put in place with less than a foot of room to work with between the top of the shelf and the ceiling. If I had a 2nd set of hands probably would have laid it down again for this step, but getting it standing solo was doable but hard, so just made do using the tight space.. Cheran. Lakeview, OR. A stately icon of English Country style inspired by manor homes, the Tynecastle Bunching Bookcase can be used alone or in pairs as a focal-point piece with generous storage. The warm chestnut-colored finish reveals the rich character of figured alder veneers. One adjustable wood-framed glass shelf and one adjustable wood shelf, along with 2 doors with one adjustable shelf behind. One light with a 3-intensity touch switch. Named for the Tynecastle area of Northern England, the 50-piece Tynecastle collection is inspired by the manor homes and equestrian life of the English countryside. Tynecastle combines classic Georgian architectural details with more rustic timber-frame elements and leather accents, creating a ''manor home to tack room'' Hunt Country flavor.
