This Bachman extendable dining table is just what we needed! It's expensive but the quality is very good. It is a solid wood indeed and it fits perfectly in our space. We needed something that will work for our not so big dining area for everyday use but can be extended to use when there's a big gathering. We got a different set of dining chairs coz we needed more back support and this table and its bench matched perfectly with the different chairs we got. This purchase was big enough that full service assembly was free from the Wayfair guys so that was really helpful. It's quite heavy too. My husband and I absolutely love the look and how versatile the design is. If you want to achieve a modern, timeless or even farmhouse vibe in your house, this will fit your needs! 10/10 recommend.. I’m super happy with this. I almost didn’t buy it and looked for a long time to buy something else because of the one review that talks about crumbs getting in the crevices and having to vacuum it. I really hate crumbs and all of that but so far, it’s not been a big issue for me whatsoever. I have vacuumed it a couple times but they come right out. The crevice is not so small that they really get stuck in there. It’s beautiful and well worth the prize. I was looking at things that were three times the amount for this level of quality.. Lora. I love this table and it is gorgeous but quite literally no one could assemble it. The top is definitely more than the claimed 500lbs. My husband and I failed to assemble this as a duo so we called in the professionals to assemble. They came as a two man crew and after a failed attempt, asked my husband to help. Between the three of them they lifted it about an inch off the floor but no where near the top of the base. A man and woman came next with their smarts. They assembled the base to the top while the top was vertical and then tipped it over. Definitely took some muscle but they got it, and I love this table! If you take the chance on this piece, do white glove at check out as Wayfair will guarantee assembly.. Tia. Zionsville, IN. Sat Sep 19 2026

This is one of the best purchases we have made from Wayfair. It is MUCH nicer in person - super high quality and very durable. We've had this for 5-6 years now and it still looks brand new. The 60" table IS huge - so make sure you have enough room for it, and that whatever area rug you get, allows for chairs to be pulled out for seating. We purchased 6 comfy chairs to go with the table, however we have had a much larger group and have comfortably seated 8 despite the big pedestal base. Highly recommend.. Janice. MD. Wed Apr 15 2026

I’ve only had the table for a day, so I’ll update my review later if I run into any issues with cleaning or durability. So far, I really like the way it looks! There were a couple of very minor scratches that looked like they had been repaired, with a thicker brown finish over the small scratches. It’s definitely not enough for me to go through the hassle of returning it, but it’s something worth noting. Overall, I think it really elevated my space, and for the price, it’s perfect!. Anonymous. Very nice table. Easy to assemble. Nice and sturdy. It does not look or feel cheap at all. Doesn’t seem to scratch easily. It looks like real wood and the staining is a nice color that I would say is true to online. The one thing I will mention is that the top and the base are shipped separately. We ended up receiving a base and lost the top in transit. After reaching out to Wayfair, they did make it right and quickly sent a replacement though.. Anonymous. Mon Aug 24 2026

Absolutely beautiful and and easy to put together. My one complaint would be that though the top IS solid wood, I was disappointed to find it still had a laminate over it. Any scratch to the surface and it will bubble if it gets wet and that will eventually ruin the surface. I wanted this to be an investment piece, something I could have for decades but unfortunately it will probably need to be replaced in ten years or so.. Amanda. Michigan. Sat Apr 11 2026

Elevate your dining area with this stylish oval table, blending modern design with smart functionality. The left base features a storage cabinet with fluted glass doors and built-in lighting, while the spacious tabletop comfortably seats 6-8 guests. The tabletop features premium wear-resistant & waterproof surface treatment, effectively resisting scratches, liquid spills and stubborn stains. Easy to wipe clean and maintain daily neatness effortlessly. It doubles as a dining spot or workspace, perfect for hosting or daily use.

Great Design & Functional Storage. I am actually pretty impressed with this table and here’s why - I really like the oval shape - my dining room is weirdly shaped due to a specific design of the house (it’s not square, it’s not round, it has multiple corners…) so it was a real challenge to find a shape that would fit. The oval shaped table is perfect. I also like the deep, rich espresso/dark walnut wood finish - it instantly became a focal point of the dining room and fits seamlessly with the decor and the rug. The design is very nice too, especially because of the textured, fluted details on the pedestal base - they add this mid-century modern flair which we like. Also, additional storageis super important for us - that’s why the built-in cabinet base with shelves is a massive bonus - arched, fluted glass doors provide excellent storage for dinnerware (or decor) without looking cluttered. The size, however, is a point for debate with my wife - she thinks it will comfortably sit only 4 people because the storage takes space, but I disagree - I think there’s plenty of space for 6 people (someone sitting in front of the glass doors may just need to be more careful not to hit them with their knees or feet…) Overall, I think the table is a perfect blend of style and functionality and is certainly a great addition to our dining room. The assembly was pretty straight forward until I go the the fluted accents. The two around the storage unit were OK to deal with. The one going around the single pedestal base, thouth, was tricky. It's not quite long enough to go around and meet for a seamless connection. There is a gap between the two ends and something to consider when you are putting it together. Plan for a small gap and work to place it inside where it's not easily seen.. Curtis. Fairfax, VA. Sun Jun 28 2026
