This Bachman extendable dining table is just what we needed! It's expensive but the quality is very good. It is a solid wood indeed and it fits perfectly in our space. We needed something that will work for our not so big dining area for everyday use but can be extended to use when there's a big gathering. We got a different set of dining chairs coz we needed more back support and this table and its bench matched perfectly with the different chairs we got. This purchase was big enough that full service assembly was free from the Wayfair guys so that was really helpful. It's quite heavy too. Quite the nice table. I got the unfinished so I could stain the color sine I can never tell if the color will be right when ordering online plus I wanted a dark base and a light top. I was happy to see that the top does not have those zig zag joints that are often popular with rubber wood. The grain is nice and the pieces of wood have a good color match. The table is sturdy and well made. Look up the directions from this web site for the assembly of base to top. If you are finishing it yourself be sure and use a wood conditioner first before stain since the wood tends to stain splotchy.. Joyce. Sat May 30 2026

Table looked great! Some minor imperfections on top but I think it’s supposed to look that way because it’s “rustic.” My only complaint was that it shipped in 2 boxes, 1 box came on time and the other box was 5 days late. Kinda frustrating as I had to reach out for assistance. But overall happy with my purchase.. Amanda Ann. Fowlerville, MI. Thu Sep 24 2026
