Teresa Sapey surprises us with her creations, this time through this collection for Vondom, an item with a lot of personalities, and a shape which is faceted, like that of a diamond. More than objects, we are multifunctional architecture pieces, since besides being used as vases we can be used as seats, flower pots, auxiliary tables… We are lifestyle objects that create a stir, fitting in with any style, and are made of materials that allow for both outdoor and indoor use.

There was an aim to create a new typology of furniture by combining the functions of a flowerpot and an outdoor table, and thus was born, a collection characterized by its originality and versatile nature. By asking the question “how do we sit down?” three different versions arose that could be adapted into three different environments: one for a chill-out scene, low, completed with a very comfortable pouf out of the same collection; another to be used when seated in a chair or armchair, medium; and another for a standing position or when sitting on a stool, high, ideal for the pleasure of enjoying a cup of wine outdoors. The first sketches showed natural shapes, which as the project developed leaned towards more architectural shapes that call to mind a column with a capital or a corbel.

We love the shape of the top and love the base in the pictures, and wish the base of our table looked like the pictures. Bulbs and electrical cord are mentioned in the description/details, but so is every possibility of the brand, including pillows (which obviously don’t come with the table). Especially since there is no mention anywhere else that the base lights up, I ignored this part. This item isn’t returnable so I have to ignore the fact that the base looks cheap. We chose this table due to the architectural look to it. The base is a different material than the top and doesn’t look as nice as all of the pictures. This item also has three price points and there isn’t any difference in the description as to why.
