A mid-century delight, the Johanne accent chair features tactile allure upholstered in rich top-grain leather that will only mellow with age. Strapped detailing is matched with a low-slung silhouette and lightly tufted seat, an invitation to statement, comfort, and relaxation.

The chair is as described and looks great. It has a very firm seat that I imagine it may soften over time. The leather isnt the highest quality, but it looks good without any defects. Very light. I could easily lift it and carry it across the room myself without straining and I am a 120 pound female. . Carly. FL. Thu Jun 15 2023

Made of natural leather and Indonesian mahogany, the lounge chair adds a natural touch of mid-century modern style to any room. To clean, wipe wood parts with a soft, damp cloth; use only leather-safe products on the seat.

I like it very much; I thought the wood would be solid and polished a bit. The leather is nice, but glued to a hard backing; somehow I thought it would be a double layered leather and that's all, but it's glued to a hard something, with a bit of a thin fabric underneath the seat. I still like the look of the chair, and the angle makes it comfortable. It's a very nice looking accent chair; I would have given the 5th star if the quality of the wood and leather was what I expected/hoped for.. Vicky. Tue Dec 10 2024

Plush, foam-filled cushions are upholstered in leather that is ultra-soft to the touch to create the coziest little corner in your home. So I accidentally bought the wrong color. The description of the color wasn’t on the mobile app. I was devastated when I got it and it was the wrong color but when I contacted Wayfare, they were more than generous and offered me a free refund or a discount which was amazing! When you’re upset about something it’s nice to know. You can contact a company that’s not trying to rip you off. That is honestly looking to make you happy. I chose to keep the chair because I fell in love with it and I’m tempted to buy the lighter color couch a lot more for the chair is so soft and comfortable. . Leslie. Ferndale, MI. Wed Aug 02 2023

Good news for small apartments: freedom without constraints; the design provides a cloud-like sitting experience, and the overall appearance has a sense of layering, combining good looks with practicality. It has a water-repellent leather surface that is the nemesis of everyday stains, with an oil wax coating to prevent liquid penetration, a removable seat cushion cover design, and moisture-proof treatment on the wooden frame. This looks stunning in the photos. Unfortunately I received not one but two damaged chairs. The good news is that WayFair replaced them quickly and with no issues. If you love this look, the bar stools are nice but the wood seat may break easily and you should expect some issues with receiving acceptable quality on this one item.. Michelle. Thu Aug 13 2026

Absolutely love this chair and it's well worth the slightly heftier price tag. I have a niche requirement, I needed an arm chair to create a reading nook, next to my books and records. The footprint had to be small, without compromising on quality, comfort or aesthetics. The Alizeh fit the bill perfectly, in terms of dimensions, looks, material and craftsmanship. It's genuine wood and genuine leather, low slung and very comfortable for extended reading sessions. Cons - the packaging is extremely rudimentary (zero cushioning inside the box) and the first chair arrived with the front right leg completely broken. However, Wayfair very kindly replaced it without any trouble. This second chair absolutely won me over. Highly recommended. See the pics.. Skidny. Nyc. Mon Jun 29 2026

It’s a sweet chair. Sturdy and well made. Reasonably comfy. I just wish the metal frame was matte black instead of medium gray. Might get mine powder-coated - which should tell you how much I like the thing even though I’d have preferred one with the white spots instead of solid brown hide. Nice piece for what it is.
