Inspired by the tropical craftsmanship of the West Indies and classic British and Dutch colonial design periods, the Charleston writing desk has a timeless kidney shape, stretchers, rattan drawer fronts, intricately carved leaf motifs on the legs, and a robust leather writing surface top. Crafted of cherry veneers, rattan, and resin, it is finished in the deep, rich Maraschino cherry. There are five drawers. The left and right top drawers have one removable partition, one writing slide, and a pencil tray for use in either drawer. The center drawer has a drop-front for keyboard use. Antique bronze round knobs and ring-pull hardware add the finishing touch.

I love this desk! It is a great upgrade from my small, single sided desk. Assembly is definitely a 2 person job, but step #16 in the instruction manual helps! It goes very nicely in my home office. I’ve had my eyes on this desk for some time to replace my old L desk and I’m not disappointed. It looks good in the space. I like that it has drawers which minimizes visible clutter. Assembly wasn’t too tedious. I’d recommend! I did buy this desk open box which I had never done before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. It had some minor damage like a few chips on the surface, the drawer back panel was cracked and it was missing some hardware.. Fortunately, all of those issues had minimal impact.. Lana.
