Very sturdy! Great for kids to sit at the island. I wanted something that a group of kids could eat at, and not get crumbs all over the house. This is a quality piece that will last a long time. This item is SUPER cute in the pix, but def not so much in person. It's SO overpriced for the quality of the wood. The design is what you're paying for. It's sturdy when flat, but the back slats feel like they will crack off if someone puts ANY kind of pressure on it. The wood looks like plastic that was painted to LOOK like wood. Husband put it together in about 15 minutes with a small electric screwdriver. All holes aligned just fine and the item feels good quality. Only thing I didn’t like is like some reviews said there are some spots of white glue that need to be wiped off with a warm microfiber cloth. I got the gray and I really love the color. Also ordered the matching dining table and chairs! Just waiting to move to our new house now. The bench IS level, I’m guessing some people just don’t know how to properly assemble furniture. ). We ordered this in the 82" Palermo Drift leather and it's beautiful. The color is a bit lighter than it appears in the product photos. One of the reasons I suspect is due to the bloom that developed. I'm not sure if it occurred during shipping or sitting in a warehouse, but there is a dusty look that is indicative of leather blooming. This type of leather is susceptible to it and it does make it look a bit aged. I'm not sure how I feel about it and will likely try to buff it to see if it improves. It also easily shows scratches. Aside from that, it is incredibly comfortable and is the perfect height for our Colin live edge dining table. The product info indicates it seats 3, but our whole family of 4 fit with room for another person or two. It's super spacious and is perfect in our great room.
