This is the best sofa cover I've bought. It's very soft (feels like cotton, but is easy care polyester), but also thick enough to be waterproof and last for a while. You would never know it's waterproof by looking at it, but I tested it by pouring water on the light side. It pooled and didn't soak through, but it did leave the light side feeling damp. I'm assuming that the fabric is treated with a water-proofing chemical on the dark side?? I bought this to donate to a foster family, and I think it'll save their couch some wear & tear. :) I couldn't photograph it on a couch (I live in a tiny yurt with no couch), but you can see from the photo showing the entire cover laid out on my deck that it's plenty big enough to cover a full size couch. What I thought I ordered I did not get. I thought I was getting a gray chenille sofa slip cover and what I got was a throw pillow cover. I sent a message and asked to get the sofa slip cover and I am still waiting to hear back or have it arrive. Nothing yet and I really have no use for 1 pillow cover. This is a great slip cover. Color and material is very nice. Looks rich. It is an excellent fit for my ottoman. A little tight going on but it works if you go slow. It was 2 inches in height longer than my stool but I knew that when I ordered it. I just folded up the excess and will use a few velcro squares to keep it down. Fits like a glove!
