Im a huge fan of this desk. I wanted something simple and easy - this is the desk Im writing my PhD dissertation on, so I knew it was going to take a lot of use. Its large enough to hold my desktop and still have room to handwrite and place books. The drawers hold a surprising amount of stuff, without becoming huge pits of junk. I live in a small apartment, and this fit perfectly into my writing nook. I use it with a poppin monitor riser, and its perfect. Aesthetically this desk is very attractive. I did change the knobs. It is worth the sales price, but definitely not worth the listed price. I gave it four stars because it took hours to put together. There are no written instructions. There are 14 pages of diagrams. Pay attention to every detail. We struggled with one of the drawers and finally realized the pre drilled hole was slightly off. I am happy with the purchase based on the value. The item was packaged very well and there was no damage. It is pressed particle board with veneer. This is just what I was looking for. It is challenging to mount. You absolutely need two people for the mounting. Also, the hardware included for the mounting is for concrete walls. I needed to go to the hardware store for the right screws, washers, and anchors for this. I used Gemini to help me decide the best hardware for this specific desk going into drywall and into studs.. Looks great, I put it together by myself, although it probably took 4 hours. Could have used slightly better instructions on the glides (you take them apart and install each piece individually) and on the back wall insert (I installed backwards and only realized it when I was done that the finished side was on the inside). I am happy with it, the 4 stars is because there really isn't room for the mouse next to the keyboard tray - it fits, but if you're active with your mouse, it's uncomfortable, so I end up moving the mouse to the desk. It’s a nice desk that I opted to have assembled for me by an expert through Wayfair. Assembly went smoothly. I like the desk. It’s a size that works well in my office. I was surprised the drawers open when you push on them (instead of pulling). That may have been in the description, but I missed it if it was. Anyway, the smaller drawers function fine.
