Holds me just fine, but if you're heavier and 250+ pounds I might be a little concerned with stability. Note that its also a very low chair so taller people might feel like a child in it. Love the table! Getting the screws in to the table required tweezers. It was tricky getting the washers and bolts lined up as the opening was too small for your fingers to hold in place.
