The delivery guys were careful putting it together so I don’t believe it was their fault, must have been how it was stored while being delivered. I can most likely cover it up with a wood marker. Having read the reviews before I purchased this table, it seems like there are 2 color versions of the Buttermilk color one being a kind of pink tone, and the other more of a khaki or griege color. While I hoped I would get the more pink-ish tone, I accepted the risk that I could receive either one. I ended up getting the khaki color. I really like the table and am happy with the purchase. This table is very sturdy and I love the look. Three of the chairs had a few minor defects but are very sturdy and good quality. The table leaf has defects where the hinges are. The wood is messed up where the hinges fold which is very upsetting but doesn’t show when used without the leaf. Which is where I plan on using the table for the majority of the time, when I need to use the full table I will use a tablecloth to cover the defect. They did not have any replacements for me. Southard 3 Piece Counter Height Pub Table Set . . . first photo shows box as received, two other indentations in chair box. Other two boxes not damaged. This item is well packed and as a result no shipping damages. Next photo shows table and chairs in place, notice rear of legs in relationship to carpet. Very small kitchen and space is at a premium. Bottom front crossmember will not allow chairs to be slid in tighter to top, see tape measurement photo before and after. I assume it is low so one can place feet on it. I moved the bottom crossmember up 12.5 inches from bottom of leg and this allowed the additional clearance. See photos underside of table. Also see side by side chair modification as built and as modified. The quality of this product is excellent and I would highly recommend it. My problem was that of floor space.....and if you are wondering about the holes left at the bottom of the leg they will bi filled with round head wood plugs painted to match. This is a very nice, well-built table. Everything is pretty straightforward to build it, and all went well.
